My Search For The Most Amazing Hair Product

As we all know in the modeling business, your hair undergoes a lot of abuse from teasing, to irons to product and so on. My hair has not been very happy with this lately and has lost some of its awesome shine, and sometimes even seems excessively dry. With that being said, I have been on a mission the past few weeks, for a quick at home fix to revitalize my hair without the cost and time of going to the salon.  I have tried a few products thus far… and a few were really nice at first, but a few hours later, seemed like I didn’t ever even open the package! Two of the products that I have tried so far are truly amazing! I loved the results that I got from both of these products. The first being a hair masque called Last Call by Beyond The Zone. Very simple to use…simply apply thoroughly throughout your towel dried hair, leave in for about 5 mins and rinse well. Best part about this product is that I got a single use package of it from the beauty supply store for all of 99 cents!!!  The second product is an oil treatment called One ‘n Only Argan Oil. This oil is derived from Moroccan Argan Trees, and helps adds shine, smoothness, helps with frizziness, and even has color protector in it! For you ladies that use irons a lot like I do, this oil helps protect your hair from excessive heat as well! Lets not forget that this product is alcohol free…so it’s not going to do the opposite of what it tells us! Now this product costs a tad bit more than the masque does, but keep in mind that you are using a whole lot less of the oil than the masque. For a 2 oz bottle of the Argan Oil, expect to pay around $5. Still not bad huh ladies??? I can not complain!! The masque is something that you may want to use every once and a while, as for the oil I have been using it every day so far. Extra bonus is that my hair has been smelling amazing! Not exactly a scent that I have experience coming from a shampoo bottle!

Give these a try if you are one of those ladies like me, that want more out our hair!!! Take my word for it!

Willow Tree Spring 2011 Fashion Show – Solero Cafe’

Last night I was 1 of 15 beautiful models in the Willow Tree Spring fashion show that was held at Solero Cafe’ in Wyandotte MI…right down the street from their stores location. Featured designers included Funky Elder, and Precious Kitty. The show went very well, with minor complications, but everything was handled well by the staff of MAG Talent Agency. I will have more photos soon but for now take a look at this one from after the show!

A Roman Valentines Day Weekend

This Valentines Day my sweetheart booked us a 5 day trip to Rome!! –♥ It goes with out saying that the trip was utterly romantic, and just flat out amazing! We walked almost everywhere that we went, we ate the best Italian food that we could find….(mind you, that was just about everywhere) & we did a tremendous amount of site seeing. During our trip to Rome we were able to go see the infamous Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Vatican and many many other of Rome’s attractions. Now for those of you who don’t know, my hunny & I are on a mission to see the 7 wonders of the world, the Colosseum being number 2 for us! This was most definitely the biggest highlight of the trip for us! So to any of you, who ever have the opportunity to take a trip to Rome…. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! I also recommend one of the many beautiful hotels in Rome, Hotel St. George, which is where we stayed. Overall this trip was outstanding & can not wait to visit again…but not until we complete our mission!

Fox 2 Detroit Puts These Kids On Blast!

Today is my daughters birthday and this afternoon as I dropped her off to her pre-school class, I was told that Fox 2 Detroit was in her class filming. Now as a professional, I steered clear of the reporter and the camera crew and left them to handle their business. Just a few moments ago my dad text me a link to the video from her school that was aired on the news earlier today. As I watched over the video, the more disappointed I became in the news station. I had no idea that Fox 2 was putting my daughters school on blast for being a “poverty school”!!!! I know that I, amongst other parents who have children attending this, or similar pre-school programs are not all living in poverty. Fox 2 put these kids on the news for hundreds of eyes, without any parents consent!!! They mentioned “for many of these kids, this meal may be the only nutritious meal they get all day”. ARE YOU FREAKIN’ KIDDING ME!?! My daughter is not in the program because I do not take care of my family! My daughter is in the program because that is the first school to call and say that they were able to fit her in. Our family is not poor and I know that there are many other families with the same situation who have children in this program! Fox 2 exploited these kids, as if they do not care how society looks at them. Instead of making people look down on these kids like “oh how sad”, how about talking about the positive side to the program??? Talk about the kids that are benefiting from the program, not what they allegedly don’t receive at home! If so many of these families are truly living in poverty, try making a difference in the community instead of putting little kids on blast, & putting their families on blast!! I am thrown back by this video I just may call the news station tomorrow morning and voice my opinion!

This right here makes me want to start a fundraiser for this program & actually MAKE A DIFFERENCE for those kids this may apply to! I have the power to make a difference in these kids lives just like Fox 2 could have….And I just may do that!

Kindness For A Weakness???

Here we are several months later & my partner & I still have yet to finish our logo…? We both are starting to feel as though our kindness is being taken for a weakness & now the lack of motivation on other peoples behalf to starting to hold us back!
